It is impossible to plow all the roads at one time, we plow Primary Roads first, Secondary Roads next and Subdivision Streets last. We follow this procedure to allow emergency equipment to navigate the roads as soon as possible. We understand that people have places they need to go and we do our best to plow all the roads as quickly and safely as possible.

Call the Highway Dept at 865-982-4652, we will have an inspector look at and advise type and size of tile needed. It is then your responsibility to purchase and install the drainage tile and once complete the inspector will verify installation at which time the county will take over any future maintenance for it.
No, all Cities, Towns and State roads are maintained by them. The Highway Department maintains all county roads and right of ways. All State roads are easily identifiable by a number, for example; Hwy 321 or Hwy 411 are both State roads and maintained by them.
The right of way for every County road is different and ranges from 11ft to 25ft from the center of the road, please call the Highway Department at 865-982-4652 to find out what the right of way for your road is.
