April 1 through 30 Exhibits Throughout the Library


April 1 to 30:

  • “Pellissippi State Community College Student Art” Exhibit, featuring the art of Frank Story and coordinated by Marty Komorny, will be on the Art Wall at the Bookmark Café.
  • “New Horizon Montessori Schools” Exhibit, coordinated by Jamie Watts, will be on the Art Panels at the Reading Rotunda end of the Main Gallery.
  • “Child Abuse Prevention Month” Exhibit, coordinated by Nicole Wicker, will be located in one Mid-Gallery case near the Magazine Shelves in the Main Gallery of the library.
  • “Big Brother/Big Sister” Exhibit, coordinated by Vivian Gwinn, will be in one vertical display case near the Audio Visual (AV) area and in one Mid-Gallery case near the Magazine Shelves in the Main Gallery of the library.
  • “Smoky Mountain Bike Rodeo Poster” Exhibit, coordinated by Donna Dixon, will be on one easel in the sitting area of the Main Gallery.
  • “Earth Matters Month” Exhibit, coordinated by John Lamb, will be located in vertical display case in the nook of the wall at the end of the Circulation Check-In Desk and in one square pedestal case near the Audio Visual (AV) area of the Main Gallery.
  • “Civil War Poetry” Exhibit, by Elaine Russell, will be in the square pedestal display case in the Entry Rotunda of the library.
  • “The Face of Coal” Exhibit, by Linda Marcus in the Genealogy display case at Temporary Books Shelves.
  • “Blount County Arts and Crafts Guild Member Art” Exhibit, coordinated by Jeanie Dockery, will be on two easels in the sitting area of the Main Gallery.
  • “Teen ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) Reviews.” Check out the new display of ARC (advanced reader copy) books, located just before you get to the Reference and Teen Central areas. These are books that have yet to go through their final edits and be published, but we scored some just for you! Choose a book from the display to take home, read, and then write a review and post on the library’s Facebook page for others to see. 
  • Artistic April” Exhibit, by Patron Services, in the Main Gallery between the two Circulation Desks.
