Stream crossings and livestock access ramps provide a safe, solid, mud-free area for livestock and equipment to cross streams while protecting fragile stream banks. These practices are also used in conjunction with livestock exclusion fencing to allow the formation of a buffer strip. These vegetated areas filter sediment that may otherwise end up in our streams and waterways.
