Re: Notice of Road Closure
With approval of the Blount County Highway Superintendent, on Tuesday July 27, 2021, starting at 8:00 am the Alcoa Electric Department will be replacing a utility pole at the intersection of Burnett Station Road and Black Oak Ridge Road. Black Oak Ridge Road will be closed at both the Burnett Station Road and West Macon Lane intersections. The closure will be approximately 6 hours (weather permitting). The Alcoa Electric Department has notified the customers that will directly be affected by the road closure. Blount County and the City of Maryville have partnered with the Tennessee Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration to embark on a planning process to result in the improvement of approximately 2.3 miles of Morganton Road from it’s intersection with Foothills Mall Drive to the intersection of William Blount Drive.
